15 Weeks!

So I've made it 15 weeks - and to those of you who don't calculate everything in weeks, it is just short of 4 months! This week, I read that the baby can start to hear voices, suck it's thumb and the nervous system is developing and I may be able to start feeling it move. I've been trying to feel it, but have been uncertain if it is my digestive system or if it is actually the baby. The next few weeks will be more evident when the baby kicks... I can't wait! Bibi and I have been talking to Baby Pham here and there which is fun to think that he can hear us.

There have been a lot of questions on whether or not we are going to find out what gender the baby is. At first, Bibi and I were on the exact same page without even having any discussions over the subject, but after Bibi talked to several people who said that waiting was one of the best and most memorable decisions they ever made, he decided that he wanted to wait to find out. This was much to my surprise, but over the past few weeks, I have considered it. I was going to decorate Baby Pham's room in neutral colors anyway and decorate with accent colors when we find out. (Click Here, Here and Here to see what I'm thinking from Restoration Hardware) and as far as furniture, car seats, strollers, etc. I think it might not be a bad decision to get gender neutral colors anyway because you can use it no matter what your second/third kid is! Clothing is the only thing I wonder about, but perhaps I can just get a lot of white onsies and shop after that... hmm... We are still not decided and don't have to be quite yet, but just thinking it through. Our next appointment is this Friday - Good Friday! I'll post some more updates then! Thanks for reading!

12 Week Ultrasound!

Last Friday, March, 25th, Bibi and I had our 2nd ultrasound! It was truly a miraculous moment for us! Our last ultrasound looked more like a blob with a heartbeat - which was amazing at that point, but this appointment was much different. Our baby has grown so much! We saw the little profile (Bibi swears he/she has my nose!!), we saw it moving all around - even though I can't feel it yet and it even had little hiccups! It was so cute! It even fell asleep in the middle of our ultrasound so she had to push on my belly to try and wake it up. She finally woke it up and got to measure the length. Pregnancy is such a miracle! I still have a hard time believing that there is a living human growing in me, but feel so blessed every time I get to see the ultrasound! I can't wait to feel it kick! Below are some pictures of our healthy little baby! Dr. K said that I am really healthy and so far it has been a really easy pregnancy! Thanks be to God!

My New Doctor at Saddleback Memorial Hospital

So when we were starting to consider having children, I knew I had to find a good doctor. I've heard nothing but good things about Orange County Women's Medical Group (<---- click there if you want to read more) at Saddleback Memorial in Laguna Woods. There were so many good doctors to choose from, so I did a little research and found Dr. Kaminskas  (<---- Click there to read more about Dr. K - she has a little video at the bottom of her page)- Bibi and I had our first appointment a few weeks ago and decided that if we didn't like her, we can choose another. She instantly was honest, straight forward and comforting. She was great! So we decided to stick with her. I feel very comfortable at this hospital and love that they have a special group - just for women!! Oh and did I mention that Saddleback is right by a Nordstrom Rack??

My second appointment is tomorrow - it is our second appointment and second ultrasound! I am very excited and have been looking forward to it for a few weeks now. Apparently we can see a more detailed picture of the baby. I will post some pictures this weekend! Be praying that little baby Pham is healthy and on the right track! :)

Love you guys!

Home Sick - Head Cold

Yesterday, I came down with a cold and last night it was really hard to sleep - it felt like every hour I was up blowing my nose, tossing and turning... so I stayed home from work today. I think I got a cold because people come to work sick thinking that they feel good enough to work, but don't think about being contagious. :(

Nonetheless it was nice to have a day of rest at home. I rested, went to Trader Joes to get some soup and ended up picking up a ton of other groceries we needed. I've always wanted to roast a small chicken for dinner, but always forget to buy one...so i ended up buying a small whole chicken and wanted to roast it with potatoes and carrots. I found a great recipe in the Bride and Groom First Cookbook. It was so easy! It is roasting right  now, so I really hope it turns out. I have some fresh rosemary growing in my back yard so I stuffed a couple sprigs from that and then added lemon wedges, seasoned it with salt and pepper, cut up some onions, carrots and potatoes brushed everything with butter and that's it! I'll update with some pictures of the final product! It is smelling yummy in the oven - so that's a good sign!

I wanted to post some pictures of my spring inspirations that I recently put up around the house. Today was such a beautiful day... it rained off and on and right now it is sunny and crisp outside - all the flowers are in full bloom and the birds are singing... such a great time of year in California. The best is driving around with the sunroof open with little wisps of fresh crisp air and the warm sun warming your face.
